Waterfront Living at Marina Collection

Living at Marina Collection means living on the water: the three blocks curve along the berths of the Sentosa Cove marina, the pools face the boats, and the developer’s brochure describes the setting as the sea at the doorstep with golf courses at the back. Restaurants, a supermarket, two golf courses and the island’s beaches all lie within about two kilometres.

Sentosa Cove is the residential district at the eastern end of Sentosa island, a place of houses on canals and small islands, low condominiums and a marina. The developer’s 2015 fact sheet describes the island as about 500 hectares, with a marina and two golf courses.

The district is residential, set apart from the attractions at the far end of the island, and the promenade beside the berths at Marina Collection leads along the water towards the restaurants of the cove.

Dining and Daily Needs around Marina Collection

Two short trips cover most days. Quayside Isle, a waterfront strip of restaurants, cafes and shops at Ocean Way, is about 530 metres from the site in a straight line, and its terraces look back across the berths. Cove Village holds a supermarket and everyday conveniences, according to the current fact sheet.

The ONE°15 Marina club, about 300 metres along Cove Drive, runs the marina’s berths and its waterside restaurants. For larger shopping trips, VivoCity and HarbourFront Centre lie across the Sentosa Gateway, about 3.0 kilometres away, and the Sentosa shuttle runs there from Cove Village.

Groceries and household errands rarely need a trip to the mainland, and dining out can mean a stroll rather than a drive. For anything more, VivoCity and HarbourFront Centre lie a short ride away across the Sentosa Gateway.

Golf, Beaches and the Water near Marina Collection

Sentosa Golf Club, home of the Serapong and Tanjong courses, is about 1.1 kilometres from the development, so a round before work is realistic. Tanjong Beach is the nearest stretch of sand, about the same distance away, with Palawan about 1.9 kilometres off and Siloso about 3.3 kilometres at the western end of the island.

For residents with a boat, the marina is the main attraction. The site plan marks a docking station on the water’s edge, and the brochure describes 40 private berths along the development’s own waterfront. The golf and beaches guide looks at each in turn.

Golfers can choose between the two courses, and the beaches suit an early swim or an evening walk. The amenities page lists the facilities within Marina Collection itself, which add a 50-metre lap pool to the island’s attractions.

Weekends and Visitors at Marina Collection

Further along the island, Resorts World Sentosa is about 2.6 kilometres away and Universal Studios Singapore about 2.3 kilometres, and the current fact sheet names the Oceanarium and Weave Mall among the attractions there. Across the water, Mount Faber Park rises about 4.2 kilometres from the site, where the Southern Ridges trails begin.

Weekend guests are easy to host: the restaurants of Quayside Isle are a short walk away, and the island’s attractions can fill a day without anyone needing to cross back to the mainland.

Schools and Work from Marina Collection

Sentosa is a resort island, so families look across the Sentosa Gateway for schools. CHIJ (Kellock) is about 3.7 kilometres from the site, Radin Mas Primary about 3.9 kilometres and CHIJ St. Theresa’s Convent about 4.0 kilometres, all in a straight line. HarbourFront MRT is about 4.3 kilometres away by road, and the developer’s fact sheet reckons the business district is roughly a ten-minute drive away. The Sales Concierge sends the price list and the e-brochure on request, and the location page maps every distance. Showflat viewings are arranged by appointment through the Sales Concierge.

For school-age children, the morning run begins on the Sentosa Gateway, with HarbourFront as the turning point towards Telok Blangah, Bukit Purmei and Bukit Merah.

The location suits households who value space, water and quiet over a station at the door. For those who work in the business district, the drive across the bridge is short, and the island’s own shuttle and monorail give a second way across.
