How Far Is Marina Collection from HarbourFront MRT?

The Nearest MRT Station to Marina Collection

HarbourFront station, on the North East Line (NE1) and the Circle Line (CC29), is the nearest MRT station to Marina Collection. OneMap measures about 3.1 kilometres between the site and the station in a straight line; the road route, via Allanbrooke Road and the Sentosa Gateway, runs to about 4.3 kilometres.

No station is within walking distance of Sentosa Cove, so the trip to the rail network begins by car, taxi or the island’s own transport. HarbourFront sits beside VivoCity and HarbourFront Centre, and from there the North East Line heads north through Outram Park, Chinatown and Dhoby Ghaut while the Circle Line runs west through Telok Blangah and Labrador Park.

Sentosa Cove sits at the eastern tip of the island, which is why its homes feel removed from the city even though the business district is only a few kilometres away across the water. The trade-off is that rail travel always starts with a short ride.

Marina Collection Distances to Rail and the City

The straight-line figures below show how close the mainland is, even though the road route is longer.

PlaceStraight line from Marina Collection
Beach Station (Sentosa Express)about 2.4 km
VivoCityabout 3.0 km
HarbourFront MRT station (NE1 / CC29)about 3.1 km
Tanjong Pagar MRT station (EW15)about 3.8 km
Marina Bay Financial Centreabout 4.4 km
Telok Blangah MRT station (CC28)about 4.4 km
Raffles Place MRT stationabout 4.7 km

Straight lines measured from the site on OneMap (SLA); a journey by road or on foot is longer.

By road, Google Maps gives about 8 to 9 kilometres from the development to Raffles Place, and by the developer’s fact sheet the Central Business District is roughly a ten-minute drive.

For many residents the drive is the daily routine: out along Cove Drive, across the Sentosa Gateway and onto the mainland at HarbourFront, from where the station, VivoCity and the main roads into the city are all close together.

On the mainland side of the crossing, Mount Faber Park rises about 4.2 kilometres from the site, where the Southern Ridges walking trails begin, so the first stop off the island can as easily be a walk as a train.

Island Transport Links for Marina Collection Residents

Sentosa runs its own connections to the mainland. The current fact sheet notes that a Sentosa shuttle runs from Cove Village to VivoCity, which puts the shops and HarbourFront station within reach without a car.

The Sentosa Express monorail links VivoCity with stations on the island, the closest being Beach Station, about 2.4 kilometres from the site. For those who enjoy a walk, the Sentosa Boardwalk crosses between the island and HarbourFront on foot, about the same distance from Marina Collection.

For visitors the same links work in reverse: guests arriving at HarbourFront by MRT can cross to the island on the Sentosa Express from VivoCity or on the Sentosa Boardwalk.

Driving from Marina Collection

Most residents drive. Cove Drive leads to Cove Avenue and Allanbrooke Road, and the Sentosa Gateway carries traffic across to the mainland, where Keppel Road continues towards the city. The basement car park of the development holds 153 lots, two of them accessible.

From HarbourFront the road network opens up in every direction, so the business district and the schools of Telok Blangah and Bukit Merah are all a short drive across the water. Singapore General Hospital is about 4.0 kilometres from the site in a straight line.

Telok Blangah station on the Circle Line, about 4.4 kilometres away in a straight line, and Tanjong Pagar on the East-West Line, about 3.8 kilometres, give drivers a choice of stations to drop off at on the mainland side.

Visitors arriving by car use the entry driveway, and the site plan places a waiting plaza beside it for those being collected.

Planning the Commute from Marina Collection

A household that commutes by train typically drives or takes the shuttle to HarbourFront and continues by MRT, while a household that drives can reach the business district in about ten minutes, according to the developer’s fact sheet. The transport and MRT guide for Marina Collection sets out the roads and rail lines in more detail.

The Marina Collection location page maps every distance from the site, and the schools guide lists the nearest primary and secondary schools across the Gateway. The Sales Concierge sends the price list and the e-brochure on request. Showflat viewings are arranged by appointment through the Sales Concierge.

Anyone weighing the commute can test it at the hour they would actually travel, since road times vary through the day. A viewing at Marina Collection can be timed for that purpose.

Distances on this page are straight lines unless stated otherwise; the road route to HarbourFront, about 4.3 kilometres, is the one to plan around. A household without a car can rely on the shuttle from Cove Village and the monorail from VivoCity for the crossing.

Marina Collection particulars come from the developer’s fact sheets, brochure and plans; statutory figures repeat the IRAS, MAS and SLA rules as read on the dates stated, and distances are OneMap straight lines from the site unless a road distance is given.
